Examinations and hygiene

A full examination takes 30 minutes and includes two small x-rays where needed. Hygienist visits are 30 or 45 minutes; we recommend one every six months, or every four months if you have gum disease.

Fillings, crowns and root canals

We use white (composite) fillings as standard. Crowns are made in an Irish laboratory and fitted in two visits about ten days apart. Root canal treatment on front teeth is done here; molar root canals are usually referred to an endodontist.

Whitening

We offer home whitening with custom trays and a professional-strength gel over two weeks. In-chair whitening is not offered because we find the home method gives a longer-lasting result with less sensitivity.

Children

Dr. Khan sees children from the age of two. A first visit is a gentle look and a ride in the chair. Fissure sealants and fluoride varnish are available for school-age children.

Nervous patients

Tell us when you book. We allow longer appointments, explain every step before it happens, and agree a stop signal with you. We do not offer sedation on site.
